The 2021 college football season was a magical season for the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Starting strong with a 10-3 win over a #3 Clemson team signified a strong beginning for the team. The Bulldogs would then go on to have an undefeated regular season sitting at the AP #1 spot with a 12-0 record that included not one, not two, but three shutouts against Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Georgia Tech. There was no doubt that this 2021 team was a prestigious group of student athletes. Which made the next game a major setback. Georgia lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide 24-41 in the SEC Championship game, causing Georgia to drop to the #3 seed. Undeterred, the Dawgs would go on to beat Michigan in an easy victory winning the Orange Bowl. That semifinal win then set the rematch against the Crimson Tide for the College Football National Championship title- a parallel to the end of the 2018 season just 3 years prior. This time, though, the Dawgs came up on top after a nail-biting 33-18 victory.
Watch the journey through my lens as the Dawgs fought against some of the top teams in the nation to secure the national title.
