About

This is my final project for NMI 7110: Advanced Rich Media Production. This weather web app allows the user to search for a certain location while utilizing Google's autocomplete functionality. Additionally, the user may request weather data from their current location. The app then queries the DarkSky API to retrieve weather data and then displays that data on the weather card, updated via Vue JS. My original plan with the app was that the user would be able to continue searching different places, and multiple 'weather cards' would be created, prepended to a scrolling list that the user can easily view. However, this required much more complex methods and concepts in Vue JS than I knew. Unfortunately, I had to take a step back and implement a single card view in order to complete this final project before the deadline.
